THE WORLD’S BEST RESTAURANTS USE ORREFORS
If we look at the world’s best restaurants outside the borders of Sweden, we need only cross the Öresund. Noma in Copenhagen continues to top the list of the prestigious restaurant guide, S. Pellegrino’s The World’s 50 Best Restaurants. To rank among the best, a restaurant must also have the world’s best drinking experience, and Orrefors are proud to offer the Difference wine glass series, with a different crystal glass for each type of flavour and maturity. The series is mouth-blown in Småland and designed by glass professor Erika Lagerbielke in close collaboration with wine writer Bengt-Göran Kronstam.
The restaurant world’s most prestigious lists, S. Pellegrino’s The World’s 50 Best Restaurants, are announced annually by the British Restaurant magazine in London. Over 800 professional restaurant personalities worldwide have a say, which gives the list an extremely high status in the industry. All jury members vote on four restaurants in their own region and three outside their region. They must have eaten at the restaurant they vote for in the past 18 months.

The Oaxen Krog in Stockholm earned its second star in the Michelin Guide in 2015, making it “worth a detour” according to the guide. The Oaxen selects unique ingredients grown very close to home or at least within the Nordic region. Quality, flavour, sustainable agriculture and humane treatment of animals are requirements for all ingredients in their kitchen. Like most other leading restaurants, the Oaxen uses only crystal glasses from Orrefors.
